He was the first Pope from the Americas, the first Jesuit to lead the Church, and a true game-changer. From day one, he chose humility over luxury, sitting with cardinals as equals and opening the Church to ordinary people. He didn’t just preach — he acted. He visited war zones, comforted refugees, kissed the feet of Muslim leaders, and fought for peace in Ukraine, Syria, Gaza, and beyond. He was the first Pope to visit the UAE and Iraq, where he met with all faiths — even persecuted Yazidis — to build bridges, not walls. When gifted a Lamborghini, he sold it and gave the money to the poor. When asked about hate and war, he responded with tears, not anger. He redefined what it means to lead with faith — not through fear, but through kindness, reason, and love. Even in death, he broke tradition — asking for a simple wooden coffin and a humble resting place. He showed us that greatness isn’t in titles or gold, but in living with heart and lifting others.
